Public participation web application
MNS Maharashtra Next
A public-facing web application created to collect citizens' opinions and suggestions about changes they would like to see in Maharashtra as part of the MNS Blueprint initiative.

The problem
What we were trying to solve
The initiative needed a scalable digital way to ask people across Maharashtra what changes, ideas, and priorities they wanted to contribute toward a broader vision for the state.
My role
Where I contributed
I worked on the technical implementation of the platform, building the public-facing experience and the backend workflows required to collect and organize citizen submissions.
The approach
How the work took shape
The application was designed to make participation straightforward. Rather than presenting users with a complicated system, the experience focused on helping people understand the initiative and submit their opinions and suggestions with minimal friction.
Building it
Decisions behind the product
The platform combined a public communication experience with structured data collection. Submissions needed to be validated and stored in a form that could later be reviewed and used as part of the broader MNS Blueprint effort.
Architecture
How it fits together
- 01Visitor accesses the public participation platform
- 02The initiative and participation process are explained
- 03User submits opinions or suggestions
- 04Application validates the submitted information
- 05Responses are stored as structured records
- 06Collected submissions can be reviewed and analyzed
Challenges
The interesting constraints
A public participation platform needs to remain extremely simple for users while still collecting useful, structured information behind the scenes. It also needs to handle potentially large variations in the length and type of suggestions submitted.
Outcome
What was achieved
A public digital platform that provided people with a direct way to contribute ideas and suggestions toward the Maharashtra Next and MNS Blueprint initiative.
